Alpha Courses at OMC
What is an Alpha course?
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone's welcome. Press play to see the explorer Bear Grylls’ story of his greatest adventure.
We have been running Alpha courses at OMC for over 15 years. Essentially folk meet at a set weekly time and place and there is a social time usually involving food of some description! This is followed by watching a video together and then a time of chat to discuss the video and the topics raised. It is a safe, confidential place to talk, where you won’t be judged for your opinions. It is for those who know nothing about Christianity as well as those who know something but wish to explore further. We have found that as the groups get to know each other better, most people feel able to be honest and share their doubts and confusions about faith and the Christian message.
Our course this year was run over April to June 2016 as an evening event starting with deserts and coffee.
