Lent represents the journey to the cross that Jesus made. It is the period of 40 days which comes before Easter, beginning on Ash Wednesday, Lent is a season of reflection and preparation for Christians before Easter. By observing the 40 days of Lent, Christians aim to reflect on Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days.

Good Friday is the day that Jesus was sentenced to death -he was crucified on a wooden cross and died there as payment for our sin, a sacrifice for all who would put their faith in him. But death was not the end…

Easter Sunday is the third day when he rose again to victorious life and ascended into heaven- and in doing so he destroyed the power of sin and death and he will reign forever as Lord of all.

Whether you know all about Jesus or whether you know nothing at all about him, you would be very welcome to come and learn more -do join us this Easter at any of our services.
