My newsletter contribution this week is of a slightly more personal nature following the birth of our first grandchild. As yet the unnamed boy was born at 11:59 am on June 16th to our daughter, Georgina and son in law Ed. All are well. Kathryn joins me in saying a big thank you to all our friends at OMC who have been praying for Georgina and Ed and for the safe delivery of their son. Also a big thank you for the beautiful flowers Kathryn and I received from the church family.
People are very predictable. How many have commented that my grandson has more hair than me? Or asks if I feel older now I’m a grandad? I shall resist any temptation to mention anything about being married to a ‘Granny!’
Life is a wonderful gift. Especially when shared with loved ones. When we speak of families so often we have in mind mum, dad, children, siblings, aunts, uncles etc. but in God’s family we are all siblings; brothers and sisters in Christ. As a family we are united even though at present we cannot meet as we used to, we can support each other by communicating in various ways but most importantly by praying for one another.
My contribution this time is much shorter than usual and much simpler but I thought I would share the latest photograph from Georgina & Ed.
May God bless you.
