Dear Everyone at Otford Methodist Church,
As Chris has asked me to write something for the newsletter I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Jane and I am married to Andy and in August we moved to Otford to continue the ministry that John Ritson and previously Kath Pawlett started. We have two children – a son and a daughter – a son-in-law, and two grandchildren, who we are looking forward to seeing more often now we have returned to Kent from the West Midlands. Of course, you already know my parents – John and Audrey!
We moved to Otford from Balsall Common and when I first went to the West Midlands I felt the Lord saying that he was sending me to the Heart of the Nation (Meriden, one of my churches, is known as the historical heart of the nation), as I had prayed for the heart of the nation for many years. Now he is returning us home and we feel excited for all the Lord has in store for us.
We are looking forward to being in fellowship with you and working as a team, seeing God’s Kingdom grow as we deepen our walk and relationship with Jesus together. His Presence is what brings us peace and His love for us is what causes us to long to see others come to know Him for themselves.
I have recently returned from sabbatical so, refreshed and renewed, I look forward to sharing some of the things the Lord has shown me, with you. We also look forward to getting to know you as we meet you all soon.
