For our prayers
The group you might like to add to your prayers this week are the technical team who make sure we can hear everything that goes on in the service, and ensure the right, helpful and creative things are seen on the screens. Pray for new team members who have experience (or are happy to learn) setting up and controlling microphones through a sound desk, or being part of the video team. This ranges from preparing all the graphic material used in the service – the words of hymns and Bible readings, illustrations used in sermons and notices, and in any other way which helps us to understand and remember what is being communicated. On the day the team operate the video system through a computer and ensure that those watching the live-stream see and hear what they need to be able to share fully with us.
World Day of Prayer
To mark this day we have a service at OMC on Friday 1st March at 2.00. The service has been prepared by the Christian women of Palestine and will be used over 24 hours all around the world that day. Do join us for the service, and the refreshments afterwards.
The club meets again this Saturday 6.30-8.00. It is mainly for children of secondary school age to learn some puppet skills. It is open for the ‘young at heart’ too, more in a helping way. Just chat to Sue or Alistair if you have any questions.
Tickets are now available for Water into Wine, the one-man show from award-winning comedy writer, James Cary, coming here on Saturday 16th March at 7pm. They are £10 (or £5 for under 18s) and are already on sale through the church website here where there is also further information about this special event. From next Sunday tickets will also be available in church after the Sunday services, and by phone on 07845 233 676.
